4 of 4 people found the following review helpful it's working!, July 20, 2010 By This review is from: 2GB ASUS Eee PC SODIMM RAM Memory Upgrade (Personal Computers) This ram has been working well for a month in an asus eeepc s101. Had to change settings in the bios for the ram to be utilized, but a solution only takes a few minutes of research on the internet to find, and no longer than a restart to do.
what else can i say , it works.
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Worked Once After Bios Upgrade - Then Quit Working, October 17, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 2GB ASUS Eee PC SODIMM RAM Memory Upgrade (Personal Computers) Asus Eeec PC 900 black netbook with 512 mb ram.
Bios 1006
Software version EEE pc 1.6.1.2-a
Build info 2008-07-23 12:10
Removed original 512 mb ram chip and snapped in this 2GB chip. Turned on netbook. Power and wireless indicator lights came on but no startup.... just a black screen.
Upgraded Bios and tried again. Screen lit up this time and loaded Linus OS. System analysis shows 2 GB Ram. So far so good.
Update: 10/25/2011
Computer won't boot. Gave up and reinstalled original 512mb chip.
Conclusion: This ram chip is incompatible with the asus pc 900.

I am not talking about if you installed it correctly or if the unit you have is defective. I installed the memory card and went into windows 7 and right clicked on Computer then left clicked on Properties. To my amazement it still only showed 1GB. I figured out how to reset the CMOS and all was right with the world. You can try this (at your own risk) if your having problems too, by holding down the power button until the netbook shuts off completely if you don't do this you will not see the boot sequence. Pressing F2 on my 1001PX eee PC got me into boot setup. Do not change anything. All you have to do is press the right arrow button until you see exit and press down until you are on save and exit. This will save nothing unless you changed something (which you should not have done) but will reset the cmos... Read more
